Known Bugs
Known Bugs
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Purpose: The Known Bugs list aims to maintain fairness, integrity,
and immersion within the simulated system of LoTS by publishing
Known Bugs.
LoTS is actively working towards patching Known Bugs.
We will remove bugs from the list once they have been
patched. Future releases of LoTS aim to eliminate these
issues.
Prohibited
The exploitation of Known Bugs or glitches to bypass code amounts to game
breaking and creates stability issues, loss of time and loaded game objects
such as items, ships, and save states. The use of the following Know Bugs
is prohibited and could result in action being taken by moderators and may
include a warning being issued by Balzuhr.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apartment Item and Credit Dupe
Bug: This can be achieved by taking advantage of the games save logic
and exploiting save states within player files combined with exploiting
the handler that initializes the players load state. The player also has
to bypass the plr_home room flag that handles the ownership and privacy
code of player homes. The use of this Known Bug is considered Fail RP
and will result in the loss of the player's home and contents
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hyper Skipping
Bug: Hyper Skipping can be achieved by entering the hyper command
after setting coords out of bounds. The game warns players that they are
"out of bound" before entering the hyper command and after the hyper jump
has completed. By ignoring the the in game indicator players can skip the
hyperlane travel and fast travel to any out of bounds coords. This has
heavily tested and adopted by players as a fast travel method.
Using out of bound coordinates in the same system is still considered
skipping. The use of this Known Bug is considered Fail RP
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Troop Juicing
Bug: Troop Juicing is the practice of ordering troops to cast spells,
buffs or debuffs or ordering troops to use skills that are outside of the
players skillset listed on their practice sheet. This can be achieved by
high level leader mains, due to the level scaling code utilized when
calling troops. The code scales the troops based on the level of the
leader calling them. The scaling code does not limit troops to the players
skill set and instead they have the complete skills set of all classes
combined. This allows high level leader mains to order troops to do any
skill. This has been tested, monitored, and confirmed. The use of this
Known Bug is considered Fail RP and is broadcasted to
Immortals.
